Great Start Back to School! 📝🍎
It was a busy, wonderful week back to school!! What a blessing to see all of your children's smiling faces. They are off to a great start and we are so happy to have them back! 2024-2025 is going to be the best year on record!! Thanks in advance for all of your support!
Welcome, Kindergarteners!!😁
We are so excited to have our kindergarteners with us very soon! You should have received your child's staggered start time of August 27 or 28. We look forward to your child becoming part of our Bethel family and we are here to help in any way!

Jack the Dipper Days🍦🍨
The Last Sunday of Every Month
Come out tomorrow, Sunday, August 25th for Jack the Dipper Day for BES!! Jack the Dipper graciously gives us a portion of their earnings for that day, just for us showing up and eating ice cream! Our Bethel Elementary Day is the last Sunday of every month. Sounds like a win!! We appreciate them allowing us to fundraise with their establishment again this year!!
Bus Change for 42 & 62 for Some of our Students 🚌
Please see message from Mrs. Fama sent out last week for bus 42 and Bus 62 riders only.
This year, we have a large number of students riding bus 42. The afternoon route was not getting kids at the end of the route home until around 4:40 or later. In an effort to get kids home in a timely manner and help Mrs. Chinn and Mr. Nick, we are taking the last part of bus 42 route and giving it to bus 62 to drop off before heading to upper Cruso.
Beginning Monday, August 26th, 2024, students who live on Max Thompson Road (and roads that connect onto Max Thompson), Mundy Field Road, Dix Creek Road, and Smokey Cove will begin riding bus 62- in the afternoons only! The morning route will stay the same, but in the afternoons, they will ride bus 62. These roads will be first to drop off in the afternoons before the bus heads to upper Cruso. Therefore, students on these roads should be arriving between 3:20 and 3:45. Please be patient the first few days to allow for the changes to take place.
Mrs. Fama contacted all families involved last week.

We hope to have every family represented that night. It's going to be an event that you don't want to miss! Book of the Month & Portrait of the Graduate 📚🎓
I am very excited that we will continue our Book of the Month program beginning this week! Our books will be chosen based on their correlation of the NC Portrait of the Graduate durable skills. Please see the link below to learn how NC is trying to help our students be ready when they graduate high school...and learning these important skills (see photo below for the skills) need to begin in elementary school! When the book of the month comes home (students will take turns bringing it home), there will be a piece of paper with questions and ways to talk about the month's durable skill with your child. I think it's going to be great! Our first durable skill is collaboration!
