WELCOME BACK!
Open House
CMSS will host a Back to School Open House on Thursday, August 20th from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm.
If your child borrowed a chromebook during our distribution in April, please bring it to Open House in exchange for their assigned device for the upcoming year.
For CMSS students attending CPDA
Open House will take place in the CMSS Cafeteria. Feel free to park in the back lot to enter through the cafeteria doors. Signs will mark the entrance and exit.
For CMSS students attending on campus
Open House will take place by appointment only. Postcards with team assignments have been mailed. On your postcard, you will find your child's Advisory Teacher and a code to sign up for Open House. Use the website provided to sign up for a 20 minute time slot to meet with your child's Advisory Teacher.
Safety Protocols & Requirements:
- Face coverings are required for students and adults
- A maximum of 2 adults may accompany their student
- One family will be allowed in a classroom at a time
- Families must remain socially distanced from other families during their open house visit
- It is imperative to arrive at your designated time (not early or late) to help avoid having extra people in buildings
- We ask that you only visit assigned classrooms this year
- Your back to school information must be updated prior to open house

First Day of School
- Students with last names A-K: Monday, August 24th
- Students with last names L-Z: Tuesday, August 25th
- All students will attend Wednesday, August 26th
If your students reside in the same household but have different last names, our principals will make all accommodations necessary to assist those families. Please contact CMSS if you have questions or need assistance.

Supply Fee
There is a one-time $25 fee that includes all necessary school supplies and a class t-shirt. In addition to the supply fee, students are asked to bring a backpack, pencils, paper, a clear drinking bottle, and a face covering.
The $25 supply fee can be paid ONLINE now (click on middle schools, and then select SOUTH). If you do not know your teacher's name at this time, just include your child’s grade level. A service fee will apply. You can also pay the supply fee at Open House by cash or check (exact change only please).

Updating Student Information
It is finally that time! The “Back to School” portal to update information is now open for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents of returning students (students who were enrolled in the district last year) can now update their information in our system. This process is for current 1st through 12th grade students only.

FREE Breakfast and Lunch Prices
Cabot Public Schools is excited to announce the district will once again be offering free breakfast to all students for the 2020-2021 school year. Meal prices for lunch will remain the same.
Parents can also apply online for free and reduced price meals. This includes parents of students in our Cabot Panther Digital Academy (CPDA). Please remember, a new application must be filled out every year.
The website is called EZMealApp. Click HERE to apply online. Select “Apply Today” and then select Arkansas and the Cabot School District.

Box Tops for Education
Even though the school year is coming to a close, you can still support CMSS through Box Tops for Education! Box Tops for Education is still going strong and each box top counts as cash for CMSS! Since 1996, General Mills has donated over $913 million to schools just like CMSS.
You can continue to send in your Box Tops with your student OR you can download the Box Top App and choose CMSS at your school. Then, simply scan your grocery receipt and CMSS will be credited for each eligible item you purchased.
