Honoring Our Classified Staff – The Heart of the CBSD!!!
Dear CBSD Classified Staff,
On behalf of the Coos Bay School District, I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for our classified staff. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment are essential to our mission of ensuring that ALL students are known by name, strengths, and needs, and that ALL students graduate with a plan—Enrolled, Employed, or Enlisted. This mission is more than just words—it’s a promise to our students, and it is only possible because of the support and dedication provided by our classified staff.
From the moment students step onto a bus, walk through our school doors, receive a warm meal, or learn in a clean and safe environment, our classified staff's efforts shape our student's experience. Whether they drive buses, prepare meals, maintain facilities, assist in classrooms, support technology, provide clerical and administrative help, or ensure student safety, their work goes far beyond daily tasks—they are the foundation that keeps our schools running smoothly and our students supported.
Coos Bay is a tight-knit community, and our classified staff embody that spirit through their unwavering support for students, families, and colleagues. They show up day in and day out, ensuring that every child feels seen, valued, and supported. Their work is critical, meaningful, and deeply appreciated—we truly could not do this without you.
I encourage all CBSD staff members to take a moment this week to personally thank our classified staff—whether it’s a simple note, a conversation, or an act of appreciation. Their contributions do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for all that they do.
One Compass--One Goal--One Mission,
Dr. Justin Ainsworth
