Dear Bear Creek Families,

My hope is that everyone enjoyed their bonus day. Even the smallest amount of snow is magical for us all.

Congratulations to Yashas Katari for advancing to the State level for his PTA Reflections entry. His entry, Accepting Imperfection A Poem, was selected by district level judges to represent Austin ISD. This is a wonderful achievement as nearly 60,000 students participate in the program annually and less than 3% of those advance to Texas PTA. Final results will be announced on March 15 via the Texas PTA website. (Yashas' is pictured below).

Now is the time to complete your priority registration for this program using the Enroll Austin online registration system. Priority registration ends February 4, 2025. Applicants will be notified of lottery results by March 14.

Returning to Bear Creek for the 2025-2026 School year?

Please help us staff appropriately for the upcoming school year by registering by February 4th! Knowing our staffing needs early in the hiring season gives us access to the best of the best pool of applicants we are able to hire for your children. Returning families do not need to upload registration documents unless something has changed.

Sidenote: Parents - Do you have any books that you have read and no longer wish to keep? Bear Creek has started its own little lending library for teachers. Pass along that paperback, worn novel, or even travel guide. We are sharing our love of reading with each other. Thank you for considering this donation.

Way to go! The Bear Creek 5th Grade FLL team was awarded 1st place for the Innovation Project Award. We are extremely proud of this group and their success. Lego Dragons are Arin, Laurie, Yashas, Mithra, Sandy, Karthik and Vivaan. The team worked very hard this season and did a good job at the robot game and innovation project presentation.
