Students being picked up at the end of the day (walkers), will be dismissed at 2:25 p.m. We ask that parents picking up their child immediately depart so this traffic does not interfere with our bus traffic. All other students will be dismissed at approximately 2:25-2:30 p.m. Please do not park at East of Chicago.
Morning drop-off and after school pick-up:
For your child’s safety as well as others Please DO NOT DROP your child off on 21st St. It is extremely dangerous and causes major traffic issues for our morning routine.
When dropping your child off, we ask that you use the designated drop-off area in the DMS parking lot. As you pull in by the fence and are waiting in the line, have your child exit the vehicle on the right side and use the designated walk path. This will help our morning procedure and be more efficient and safe for all students.
When picking up your child, we ask that you do not park on Race St. on the school side. This will allow our buses to exit the parking lot in a timely manner and it will also keep our students safe as they will not be walking in front of the buses.
We understand that you are on a time schedule and we are working to be more efficient with our procedures. Please keep in mind that our buses are running on a schedule as well. As our buses arrive and depart from DMS, be courteous and allow them to enter and exit as quickly as possible.
