Upcoming Budget Meetings


THE WEST HEMPSTEAD BOARD OF EDUCATION WILL HOLD ITS NEXT MEETING IN THE HIGH SCHOOL VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM AT 7:00 PM (NOTE THE TIME CHANGE):



TUESDAY, JUNE 7 - ADOPTION OF BUDGET


THE LINK WILL BE POSTED TO THE WEBSITE ON THE MORNING OF THE SCHEDULED MEETING (ON THE HOMEPAGE UNDER THE “NEWS” SECTION).

THE BUDGET RE-VOTE WILL BE ON JUNE 21, 2022. VOTING TAKES PLACE IN THE MIDDLE SCHOLL GYMNASIUM FROM 7 AM – 9 PM.

PTA-PTSA-SEPTA Installation Dinner

On Wednesday, June 1, the annual Installation Dinner was held. The installation of officers is always significant because these people have accepted the responsibility and are devoting themselves to the welfare of all students in our district. For this, we say in advance, THANK YOU!

Empire Games

What a great day our students had competing, laughing, and teaming up. IF you are unfamiliar with the Empire Games goals are:


1. To Offer physically challenged youth the exciting opportunity to participate in competitive sports and recreational activities adapted to best suit their unique abilities.


2. To encourage promotion of sports for physically challenged individuals of all ages.


3. To enable youth to learn and develop skills required for a successful experience in sports competition and fitness.


4. To familiarize the general public with the abilities of physically challenged individuals. •

Sports achievements emphasize the abilities of the athletes and help them develop confidence and self-esteem. Success encourages an interest in sports activity and lays the foundation for the athlete to continue on to adult competition, if they so choose.
