Bordeaux Elementary School

Dear Families,

Thank you once again for a fantastic turnout at our Fall conferences. Many classes had 100% participation and as a school we were well above 96% attendance. We count on you to support our work here at BDX and once again you showed that support by turning out. Mrs. Beutel, Mr. Wirzbicki, and I were able to attend many conferences and it’s always a joy to see that you are as proud of your students as we are.

Volleyball permission slips went out for 1st through 4th grade last week. These forms will be accepted through November 4th. Each grade level will have a capacity of 25 athletes. Students will be selected using the Wheel of Names. Volleyball will be on Mondays for 1st grade, Tuesday for 2nd grade, Thursday for 3rd grade, and Friday for 4th grade. The season will run November 14th through December 13th.

This Friday, November 1st is our annual Fall Harvest Carnival. Tickets are 4 for $1, cash only. Doors open for the carnival at 5:45 PM and the event is from 6:00 to 7:30. This is your student’s opportunity to wear their costumes, because they are encouraged during this event. No weapons please. Our Leadership Team has decided that costumes not be worn at school during the day of Halloween due to the distraction they cause throughout the day, so please take advantage of the opportunity on Friday.

We have a full five days this week and it’s hard to believe we’re heading into November. As always, it’s a great week to be a Bordeaux Bulldog!
