Bilingual Seals Exam April 22 and 23
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are bilingual in a language other than English are encouraged to take the Bilingual Seals Exam. Students can earn college credit for knowing how to speak, listen, read, and write in another language.
The bilingual seal also looks great on a resume. Students should register to take the exam by Friday, April 5 by visiting the bilingual seals program webpage.
"She Kills Monsters" at North
"She Kills Monsters" opens at North on April 4 at 7 p.m., and will run for one weekend on April 5 & 6 at 7 p.m.
"She Kills Monsters" tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly's Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister's refuge.
This performance contains coarse language, verbal abuse, adult themes, and simulated violence.
Volunteers Needed
Tartan Financial Game Day
40 VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for our 2nd annual Financial Game Day at Tartan High School! On Tuesday, May 7 all students in 11th grade are invited to participate in a fun, engaging financial game day where, using an online app, students learn what it's like to manage finances within the structure of a paid job and family. Students are SHOCKED at how much things cost, which makes it a really fun day for the volunteers.
Check out last year's story in THIS NEWSLETTER to learn more.

Washington County is hosting a medication drop off for old and unused household medications on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wildwood Elementary in Mahtomedi.
Details and specifics regarding what medication can be dropped off can be found here on the Washington County website.
Measles and the MMR vaccine
Minnesota has identified cases of measles in children who recently returned to the U.S. after traveling internationally. The decline in measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine coverage, coupled with the increase in measles disease nationally and internationally, puts Minnesota at risk of additional measles cases and a measles outbreak.
MDH has information about measles and the MMR vaccine: https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/measles/measlesfacts.html
If your child has any symptoms, please contact your medical provider and school nurse.
Washington County Vaccination Clinics
Washington County is offering monthly vaccination clinics. Appointments can be scheduled on the Washington County website.
