Celebrating Students as Another Year Winds Down
Dear Thompson Community:
It is hard to believe that we will soon be wrapping up the current 2024-2025 school year. The time after Spring Break is always a fast-moving period in TSD. While students start gearing up for their end-of-year school work in the classrooms, our staff also prepares for and conducts the annual Colorado Measures of Academic Success exams (CMAS). These exams are a statewide assessment tool used to measure student progress in math, English, science, and social studies. The program is designed to provide a common measure of student achievement and to help schools and districts understand student progress toward mastering academic standards. The data is exceptionally valuable at both the school and district level. In classrooms, teachers are able to use it to gain a better understanding of how their instructional methods are benefiting students. And at the district level, administrators use the information to make informed decisions about curriculum practice and to help guide the placement of resources and support.
Next month, our schools will be fully engaged in finishing up all of their final activities as we prepare for our graduation ceremonies and other celebrations after a job well done. It will be an extraordinarily busy time and before we get too far down that path, I want to take a few moments to celebrate some of the terrific activity successes that our students have achieved the past several weeks. While the following list is not an exhaustive look into the totality of student success across the district, I think youโll agree with me that we have much to be proud of here in Thompson School District:

Knowledge Bowl: Won its regional competition and competed at the state tournament in Greeley

As you can see, we have much to be proud of here in Thompson School District. Our students are not only thriving in the classroom, they are also competing and representing our district well in the community, across the state and beyond. Thank you, as always, for your unwavering support of each student and family here in TSD. We greatly appreciate all that you do.
Sincerely,

TSD Seniors Invited to Upcoming Grad Walks
Attention TSD Seniors!
As seniors prepare to graduate and embark on the next chapters of their lives, we would like to extend an invitation to students to walk the halls of their former elementary and middle schools. This procession can be a meaningful experience, not just for the younger students but also for the graduates to reflect on their school years.
Seniors, take a walk down memory lane! Your presence will be greatly appreciated and may even leave a lasting impact on the students you encounter.

TSD Online Program Available for Review
Thompson School District has initiated a process for a possible adoption for their online programming for Thompson Online (TOL), Secondary Options for Achievement Resulting in Success (SOARS), and high school credit recovery. During the spring semester of the 2024-2025 school year, many online teachers and students will be trialing new online programming. If your child is trialing one of these new online programs, you have already received communication regarding the details of the trial.
The programs being trialed in our online classes are:
In addition, teachers, students, counselors, and administration currently using K-12 Learning Hub (Fuel Ed) were asked to provide feedback to the Curriculum and Learning Team (CLT) regarding their experiences within that program.
An important part of any program review process is receiving feedback from all stakeholders. Below is a link to a survey in which all TSD stakeholders are able to provide feedback for each/all of the three programs that are currently being reviewed. The survey will be open until April 18th, 2025.
To review the online programs, please visit each website above or visit the CLT Materials Review webpage for more information.

Final Bond Projects Nearing Completion
The Bond team continues to implement projects as approved by the Board of Education. The final bond projects will be completed in the summer of 2025. We are working to close out projects that were completed in 2024, providing critical legacy documents to Facilities for continued management of the District buildings and sites that were modified during the 2018 Bond program. A financial audit of the original $149 million bond program and the $60 million added funds through grants, asset sales, and bond premiums was completed.
