Mustang Remote Learning

Remote Learning day is for students to access their daily lessons using their Chromebook. Teachers will provide a google meet or video to assist students. Questions can be asked during Google Meet or via email to the teacher.

All students should check their Gmail and Canvas accounts as soon as they can, preferably by 8:00 am, to plan their day, determine the questions or assistance they may need to complete assignments and determine if participating in remote learning activities would benefit them. Please allow a little grace to teachers. It may take some extra time to get Google Meet and additional assignments and videos posted to Canvas.

The school day is 8:00-3:30 for staff. Teachers will provide a Google Meet time or video on Canvas to assist students.

If a Google Meet is offered, it will not be a time of direct instruction but rather a time for reinforcing learning, asking questions, and having instructions clarified. Many of our teachers have different course preps and different grade-level courses that they are also accommodating for during this time.

Please check gmail and canvas regarding each teacher's guidelines and information.

The success of remote learning is to keep a schedule.

Teacher workdays are 8 am-3:30 pm.

Helpful Hints to Successful Remote Learning-

• Charge Your Chromebook
• Check Canvas for coursework, video or google meet.
• Have a special work area for school time! (keep distractions limited- no TV, no cell phone, etc.)
• Sit where the wifi signal is best
• Have Ear Buds for videos or google meet!!!!
• Daily Work- login to your Chromebook, check your Gmail, check your canvas, check your class for assignments and google meet or video, move through each class accordingly
• Questions- email teacher and/or show up for google meets(if offered)
• Complete any incomplete work or assignments
• Take breaks periodically

If students have questions or seem stuck on an assignment they should email the teacher and show up for a google meet (if offered).

If students expect a timely response it would be important to email teachers during the school day hours.
