Out For Education has been working hard to raise funds for our 2023-2024 scholarships! We are incredibly thankful to all of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers that helped us to make our first Valentine's Day fundraiser a tremendous success. On February 14, we hosted "Love (not-so) Straight Up" at Big Brothers Big Sisters. Hu'Nee B performed for our guests as we auctioned off several items donated by our business partners.

OFE raised over $6000 with this event and 100% of all dollars earned will be given to students in the form of scholarships!

With the help of several volunteers, OFE interviewed over 60 applicants on Saturday, April 1! This year has been record-breaking for us. Over 100 students applied for our scholarship; that's four times as many as last academic year!

Thank you to each of our volunteers that came to help us interview and those that showed up to help with logistics.

Special thanks to Starbucks - 45 & Cullen for their generous coffee & pastry donation and volunteer support as well!

OFE has been a proud partner and beneficiary of Bunnies on the Bayou for the last few years. This year is no different! We sent several volunteers to help with set-up, tear-down, and everything in between. Thank you to our family members, friends, and OFE supporters that showed up to volunteer representing Out For Education!

Out For Education showed up to support the Human Rights Campaign Houston dinner on April 15. There were so many inspiring moments to share, but what really took the cake was watching previous OFE scholarship recipient, Cameron Samuels, accept the HRC Houston Trailblazer award!
