Current 10th-12th grade students will be working on finalizing their CNF this week. Formal COC registration is November 5th. Summer Opportunities? Winter is barely around the corner, and yet we're starting to think about next summer! There's more to summer break than taking classes. There are many programs and opportunities for students to explore their interests, develop their talents, and build up their college resume. If this sounds like how you want to spend part of your upcoming summer, then you better begin your research before all the leaves fall--some programs begin accepting applications as soon as the end of October, and many close their applications in early January. To get the brainstorming started, check out the examples curated by the AOC Communications Management student team; then, take your search beyond and find out where your passions, talents, and interests may lead.
Capturing Our Students in Action at AOC this Last Week
Mr. Wilhelm's COMS class filmed a few short videos for admissions season updating our website. Students utilized our newly purchased equipment from Proposition 28 funding. Students have learned how to film, edit, use lighting and sound to create video in our after school enrichment class. And, for our Seniors with Mr. Frame and Mrs. Burton, they presented their Senior Capstone Projects. They did a fantastic job presenting to their peers and gathering feedback on their projects. Well done!
