Need to Know
Parent-Student-Teacher Virtual Conferences Feb 27 & 28: Booking will open Thursday, February 20 at 3:00 p.m. Students are expected to attend the virtual meetings with their parents. The instructions for booking appointments are attached.
Please note: The first half-year arts classes your son was enrolled in ended on January 27. These are the bookable classes available in the pickAtime system. Since he only recently started his second half-year arts option, those classes are not available for booking. You can see his current class by logging in to mySelwyn.
Scheduling an appointment for arts is optional. If you do not wish to meet with the arts teacher, no action is required.
Grad Ski Trip - February 23-25
A reminder to all Grade 11's attending the Grad Ski Trip that they must arrive at school at
6:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 23rd. Final details were sent to students & their families via email. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Littman.
National Pink Shirt Day - February 26
Pink Shirt Day started as a grassroots movement in Nova Scotia in 2007 when a student was bullied for wearing pink to school. His schoolmates wore pink the next day in support of the bullied student. With that act of kindness, Pink Shirt Day was born. Students are invited to wear a pink shirt in place of their school uniform shirt on Wednesday, February 26 to take part in Canada’s National Pink Shirt/Anti-Bullying Day.

Ivey School of Business at Western University upcoming event: Join the Ivey High School Case Competition for students from Grades 10-12 interested in commerce and solving real-world business problems. Selwyn House is hosting the Montreal competition on April 5! It is a great opportunity to build teamwork and leadership skills and add an academic competition to your resumé!

Staff Appreciation Week
On behalf of the entire Selwyn staff, we thank the SHS Parent Volunteer Association for the delicious treats and the fun, creative activities and crafts. We felt truly appreciated and had a fantastic time. Camping out at work has never been more enjoyable!
