Be Safe. Be Respectful.
Be Responsible. Be Ready to Learn
The Mission of Portsmouth Middle School is to create a strong and safe learning environment: promote social, emotional and physical well-being and to provide opportunities for each student, to the best of their ability, to meet high academic standards, develop responsibility, and achieve the positive social values and behaviors to become productive citizens.
RICAS Math Tuesday and Thursday this week
We are back at it tomorrow and Thursday school wide with RICAS Math, sessions 1 and 2. We would like students to get a great night's sleep, have a breakfast at home or at school and then see them on time at school tomorrow. Students worked really hard and were concentrating on their growth for ELA and I can’t wait to see them tomorrow. We will remind students that it is important to use their graph paper to show their work and answer the questions that are asked.

A Reminder...
Patriot Pride Student Recognition
Patriot Pride is a system to recognize students who are meeting our school-wide expectations. Students are eligible to be Patriot Pride winners by entering Patriot Pillars they earn in their grade level collection container. A winner from each grade level is selected daily and recognized on our school-wide morning announcements.
Students receive Patriot Pillars when they demonstrate our school core values: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Ready to Learn.
We are proud of our Portsmouth Patriots!
Thank you to the PTO
We want to take a moment and thank our PTO for the wonderful meal that the faculty/staff enjoyed on Friday. Everyone felt very special, being able to enjoy a warm meal with their colleagues in the library was a nice setting to see. We appreciate the support and generosity of our families to put on such a week for Teacher Appreciation Week.
