Principal's Message
Dear Pattengill Community,
This has been a great week to be a Pattengill Penguin! We have been delighted to see our students’ smiling faces as they learn new routines and expectations designed to make them successful students and lifelong learners. Our students have quickly adapted to new classrooms and new teachers, all while having fun along the way! We will continue to build and reinforce these important routines, which will be key as we dive deeper into the curriculum.
Curriculum Night
Next Wednesday is Curriculum Night for grades 1-5, Specials, and our ASD and CI classrooms. We look forward to welcoming our families and sharing the exciting learning opportunities we have in store for your children!
PTA Scholastic Book Fair
Our PTA will hold the Scholastic Book Fair next week! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new books, enhance their reading skills, and ignite a lifelong love of reading. The Book Fair will be held in our Learning Lab and we warmly invite all families to visit during afterschool hours. This is a perfect time to explore the fair with your child, select books that match their interests, and make reading a fun family activity. Don't miss out on this fantastic event! Be sure to check out the PTA section below for more details. We can’t wait to see you there!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Proud to Be Your Principal,

Smart Devices in Classrooms
Pattengill students are welcome to bring cell phones and smartwatches to school; however, we kindly ask that these devices remain securely stored in lockers throughout the school day and not be used during school hours.
If students need to contact home, they are welcome to visit the Main Office, where our staff will be happy to assist them with making phone calls.
With your support, we can create an uninterrupted learning environment that benefits all students during instructional time. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps us maintain a focused and productive school day.
Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting the Pattengill staff in providing the best educational experience for our students.
Item Drop-Off Policy
A special thank you to our parents for ensuring your students had their necessary items each day for school. Our staff is working very hard to foster personal leadership in our students and our new policy has minimized classroom disruptions and ensured that instructional time remains focused and uninterrupted.
Please continue to assist us by reviewing with your child each evening what they will need for the following school day.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to create a productive and supportive learning environment for all students.
A lunch choice, snacks, and water will always be provided by the school.

Bagel Fridays Return!
Next week is our first full week of school and Bagel Fridays will return! Plain, salt, cinnamon, and chocolate chip bagels are for sale.
Bagel sales would not be possible without the many parents who sign up to sell bagels. Please use this link if you would like to sign up to help sell bagels this school year.
Bagel sales support 5th grade camp and ensure every 5th grader who wants to attend camp may do so.
PE Reminder
To ensure the safety and well-being of our students during Physical Education (PE) classes, students must wear gym shoes to participate in class. For their safety, any student who does not have the appropriate footwear will be required to sit out of classroom activities.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our students safe!
