To allow our Centennial families to get to know more about the achievements of Star students, we will be highlighting a different student in our weekly newsletters. They will have an opportunity to share some fun facts about themselves as well as convey some of their most recent accomplishments.

Aza Corbett
Introducing a remarkable student, Aza Corbett who not only shines on the field as an all-season scholar athlete but also excels in the classroom and beyond. Winning the prestigious "Columbus Dispatch Athlete of the Week," holding down two jobs, and participating in the College Credit Plus program, she sets a stellar example of determination and balance.
Q: How do you balance your academic workload with other commitments and activities?
A: I balance my academic workload with other commitments and activities by taking advantage of free time in class and time after school before practice.
Q: Can you share a memorable moment or achievement from your athletic pursuits?
A: A memorable moment that I’ve gotten from playing sports at Centennial is scoring my first goal in soccer as well as winning athlete of the week for Columbus Dispatch for basketball. It is hard to put these feelings into words, but it felt so great to have so much support from my peers.
Q: How has being a part of the school community influenced your overall high school experience?
A: Being part of the school community has greatly influenced my high school experience. I have made amazing friends through sports and other activities. I do not know where I would be without the friends that I currently have in my life, they make everything worth it.
Grace Clinics of Ohio Hilliard Clinic Dream Center
The Hilliard Dream Center has opened a free medical clinic for uninsured and underinsured citizens. They offer medical appointments, prescription refills, and sports/employment physicals. Appointments available Mondays from 6pm-8pm
2024 College Tours

Community for New Direction (CND) hosts an Academic/HBCU College Tour each year during Columbus City Schools' spring break (March 31 - April 6 in 2024.) This year marks their 32nd tour, and this year they will be headed to New Orleans! Project 10Million’s Direct to Parent/Guardian Program
Are you interested in receiving free internet for your student? Project 10Million’s Direct to Parent/Guardian program provides internet access to eligible families that have a student enrolled in the National School Lunch program. Approved families receive 100GB of mobile data per year for 5 years and a FREE mobile hotspot, plus the opportunity to purchase additional Wi-Fi devices at a low cost.
