Angie Walker-2nd Grade Teacher
Hello! My name is Angie Walker, a dedicated and passionate educator, I am thrilled to begin my first-year teaching as a 2nd grade teacher. I graduated from Mercer University where I earned my degree in Bachelor of Science in Education.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I had the privilege of serving as a paraprofessional for four years, where I gained valuable experience working alongside teachers and students to provide individualized support while creating engaging learning experiences.
With 19 years of experience in the Early Childhood profession, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my new role. My extensive background has equipped me with the skills to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters academic success, social growth, and emotional development in young children.
Outside of the classroom, I am proud to be married to my wonderful husband for 22 years. We have been blessed with three amazing children.
As I begin this new chapter in my career, I am excited to bring my passion for teaching and commitment to education to my new students and colleagues. I look forward to building strong relationships, creating engaging lesson plans, and watching my students grow and thrive.
Nadia Mehjabin-Preschool Special Education Teacher
Hello everyone,
I'm thrilled to introduce myself, Nadia Mehjabin, joining the Huntley Hills family as a Special Education teacher. While this marks my third year at this school, it's my first year in this particular role. I've had the privilege of completing both my Bachelors and Masters in ELT from Bangladesh and I'm now eager to pursue my M.Ed. in Special Education.
Family means a lot to me and spending time with them makes me happy more than anything. So outside of teaching, my greatest joy comes from spending time with Ishaan and Azwa. After moving from Bangladesh, in the last 2 years I have found my new family, friends and mentor here in Atlanta; to be more specific in Huntley Hills team members. I am genuinely excited to embark on this new academic year, filled with opportunities to learn and grow alongside my esteemed colleagues.
Looking forward to a wonderful journey ahead with all of you!
Ariel Syms-Interrelated Teacher
Hey there Huntley Hills Family,
My name is Ariel Syms, and I am so excited to be a part of your child's educational journey. I attended DeKalb county as a child and have a passion for helping students achieve their own personal academic goals. I have a Dual Bachelor's degree in Special and General Education from Georgia State University. I've been teaching for the past four years, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I have a passion for special education, empowering the families and students, and integrating them into a nurturing classroom setting. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, traveling, movie marathons, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. As your child's teacher I will get to know them on a personal level so that I can provide that best educational experience possible. I attend workshops and training specifically for our gifted students. I can't wait to grow and thrive this school year.
