It is starting to feel like fall, and you know what that means - the Fall Frenzy! This event allows your kids to let loose and have fun with their friends on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Collins from 4 PM - 7 PM. We will offer your student pizza (including gluten free if needed), popcorn, cookies, and opportunities to win some sweet food prizes. We also provide entertainment such as dance music, a photo booth, an inflatable, games, and (temporary) body art! Plus students can buy tickets to win raffle prizes. Clubs have been meeting for the past few weeks. Please use the calendars to help with club meeting days.

Throughout the year, students can also find more information about clubs on the "In My Club Era" bulletin boards located in each main hallway by the cafeteria doors.

Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher.

Referrals will be accepted from October 1 - December 19, 2024. The referral form is located below. You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage. Please return to Lisa Lackey at llackey@conroeisd.net when complete.

We are excited for Red Ribbon Week next week! Please see the themes for each day below.

During Red Ribbon week, students will be participating in a variety of activities including guest speakers and large group guidance aimed at building awareness and making safe choices.

Dear Parents,

I would like to start off by saying how much we appreciate your children. They make our jobs truly worthwhile and we love serving them.

That being said, I have a favor to ask of you. When sending money with your child please take into consideration that while we accept large bills for payments our associates only start out with less than $10 in their registers and are not able to make change for large bills. We encourage you to load money onto your child's account through My School Bucks, or we will gladly load it onto their account for you.

In Mr. Hunt’s art class, students are continuing to work on their still life painting project.

In Mrs. Williams’ art class, students are glazing their clay projects and beginning to develop their final self portraits.

We finished our Lacrosse unit this week. It was a lot of fun and we absolutely loved having Coach Kevin and senior Coach Hannah come out to Collins for a few days! Our first November Cobra Cardio will be Friday, the 1st.

It is Flu Season!

Flu shots help reduce your chance of getting the flu, and also lessen the severity of your symptoms if you were to get sick with the Flu. As always, the best way to prevent illness is by washing your hands! Frequently wash your hands and work to avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  • 3:35 PM Cones for car rider dismissal will be set - cars for early pick up will not fit in front parking area
  • 3:50 PM First Flight (7 cars) will move forward to cones
  • 4:05 PM Flights 1 - 6 dismissed along with bike riders
  • 4:10 PM Walkers dismissed - continue to scan parents cars using sign with student's ID number. Students will meet parents at cones 1 - 7. Once a flight is loaded it will be dismissed to take a RIGHT hand turn only to exit.
  • Buses will be dismissed based on bus arrival to campus.
