Ahoy, PreK, Kinder, and First Grade Families!
Happy New Year! A Wonderful Start to 2025!
We kicked off January with a fantastic start, and what a month it has been! We've enjoyed beautiful sunny days, received some much-needed rain, and were even surprised by a rare dusting of SNOW—what a treat for our little learners!
As we settle into the second half of the school year, our students have been hard at work completing their middle-of-the-year assessments. These assessments help us track their growth and ensure they are on the right path for success. We look forward to sharing their progress with you as we move through February.
Speaking of exciting things ahead, we are thrilled to announce our 1st Annual Father-Daughter Dance at the Primary! This special event is sure to create lasting memories, and we can't wait to see all the dads and daughters enjoying a magical evening together.
February is filled with fun events and activities, and we can't wait to celebrate with our students and families. Thank you for your continued support—we’re looking forward to a fantastic month ahead!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Galindo
Primary Principal

Black History Month Feb. 1st- March 1st
Our young students will be celebrating Black History Month through engaging and educational activities that honor the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. From interactive lessons and creative projects to performances, storytelling, and discussions, students will explore themes of resilience, culture, and progress, fostering a deeper appreciation for diversity and inclusion. This celebration aims to inspire our students to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and build a brighter future together.
National School Counselor's Week Feb. 3rd- 7th
Mrs. Perez is the heart of our school, a truly phenomenal counselor who always puts the mental health and well-being of students and staff first. Her dedication shines through in every guidance lesson, where she thoughtfully imparts life lessons that inspire growth and resilience. Through her innovative "Wellness Wednesday" activities, she creates meaningful opportunities for staff to recharge and connect, fostering a culture of care and support. Mrs. Perez’s compassion, wisdom, and tireless efforts make our school a better place, and we are so grateful for her unwavering commitment to our community.

What is Kindness?
Kindness is the ability and willingness to express care and compassion for others. Kindness is a choice to use our time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, and service.
Why focus on Kindness?
- Kindness boosts positive emotions. Acts of kindness create neural pathways that enhance feelings of well-being and the natural flow of feel-good endorphins and neurotransmitters.
- Kindness is self-replicating. When we perform an act of kindness, it is likely to encourage others to act in a similar way.
- Kindness reduces stress and anxiety. Kindness promotes positive relationships with other people. Anything that helps you to build bonds with other people helps decrease anxiety.
Kindness in Action:
- Celebrate small things. Start each day with Good Things as a class. Publicly and privately affirm kind and thoughtful actions and attitudes.
- Create opportunities for students to affirm each other regularly. Once a week, dedicate time for students to write notes of affirmation to classmates and school staff members.
- Model Kindness. Be mindful of body language, tone, and mindset. Kindness is learned by example!
