For children, learning to read begins at home through everyday interactions long before they attend school. Your continued support of literacy development as children enter elementary school and progress through the grades positively affects their reading ability. We will provide activities and resources that you can use to help your child across multiple grade levels become a successful reader.

By connecting math to a variety of everyday situations and routines, families can make math meaningful and provide opportunities for children to practice what they have learned in a purposeful manner. Activities and resources will be shared that can help your child flourish into a mathematician!

Completing homework can be challenging. One benefit of having homework is the opportunity to practice and review new skills and information. Another benefit is that it helps develop lifelong skills in organization and time management needed in adulthood. Strategies for supporting homework and establishing good study habits will be shared to make learning at home easier!

Just because kids aren’t in the classroom doesn’t mean learning has to stop. Taking time each day to focus on learning will set your child up to develop the foundational skills and habits that will prepare them for their return to school. We will share ideas and resources to help your child beat the summer slide and be prepared for school to start in the fall.
