Hello, FC Bands Seniors!

We know that each of you has a bright future ahead and we want to offer an opportunity for 4 of our seniors to reduce some of the post-high school educational costs that you might incur.

Each year, the FC Band Boosters presents scholarships to seniors in our program. We are once again offering four scholarships and hope that you will take the time in the coming weeks to fill out the attached application.

As you will see, one of the requirements of the application is to include your school transcript. We recommend that you begin the process of obtaining the transcript as soon as possible, so that you will be able to meet the application deadline of May 5th.

2024 FC Bands Senior Scholarship Application

Thank you to all marching band students and families that attended the Marching Band Registration night. We ask for patience as all registration paperwork is entered into BoosterHub. As soon as this is completed you will receive your first marching band invoice.

If you have not yet submitted your paperwork, please email those forms to both George Hewitt, FCBB treasurer, at treasurer@fcbands.org and Heather Long, MB liaison, at marchingbandliaison@fcbands.org. If you have not yet submitted your marching band deposit, please do so asap! June 1st is our registration deadline.

Please note upcoming Marching Band Practices: 5/6, 5/13, 5/14, 5/20, & 5/21 from 6-8:30pm.

Percussion Audition Dates for Marching Band will be on May 7th, 9th, 14th and 16th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Percussion should also plan to attend the All MB dates on May 20th and 21st from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

IMS is now fully staffed. For those that have indicated interest, please watch for confirmation and details to come soon.

Participants will scan tickets at the gate and/or provide directions for visitors once inside the venue. Great way to earn money towards your fees! For additional details and to sign up, please read the description on Signup Genius.

MB invoices will start going out as soon as possible. Please do not panic if you have not received your 2024 Marching Band invoice yet, there are new system updates that are unexpectedly slowing this process down. If you have a past due balance, please note you will not receive a 2024 Marching Band invoice until your past due balance is paid in full.

Once you receive your invoice, you will have the option to either sign up for automated payments or pay in full using the link in the invoice or you will submit cash/check. Before placing cash in the white box, you must get a receipt from a director or the treasurer. Guides and videos will be created to assist in explaining these options and how to proceed. Jazz 3 has returned! Rehearsals will take place during CCR on the following dates:
Friday, May 3rd

As a reminder, students still need to sign up for CCR with Ms. Nason or Mr. Ellinger so they are allowed to stay. Rehearsals will take place in the band room. Jazz 3 will perform for Jazz A La Mode, which is Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 PM. The dress rehearsal for this performance is Tuesday, May 7th from 2:15-4:45 PM.

We would like to pull together a committee to assist in petitioning, securing and managing our sponsorship program. If you would like additional information, or to express your interest please contact Jennifer McCormick at engagement@fcbands.org.

It's a new year and time to rally to find businesses interested in sponsoring our awesome band program. The partnership of sponsors is critical to maintain the exceptional level of instruction and opportunity that is currently provided to our students.

For every sponsor you are able to secure, you will receive 10% of the donation to your student’s band account. Franklin Central Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Sponsor donations are tax deductible.

Please make sure you have a SafeVisitor background check on file with FTCSC. A cleared background check is required for all of our volunteers (this includes required volunteer shifts at our events and helping with props during competitions). Background Checks are good for 2 years.

A great, EASY way to help the FC Band program is by assigning the band as your Kroger Community Rewards organization! Last quarter we earned $890.07 with 248 households participating.

It's easy to sign up and start earning for the band. Ask your friends, parents, cousins, aunts, uncles... everyone you know to sign up as well!
