This week OHS Junior Kelsie Batey has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Kelsie is a key member of the varsity softball team, acting as a leader both offensively and defensively, according to Softball Head Coach Jimmy Nimmo.
"She plays shortstop and third base, and has played seven games this past week," Nimmo said. "As our lead-off hitter, she leads the team in hits (11) and RBIs (7). She currently has a 0.423 BA and 0.500 OBP with two doubles and two triples. Kelsie also leads the team defensively with 11 assists."

This week OHS Senior Phin Scott has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Phin is an important leader on the varsity boys soccer team, and although he is coming off an injury, he hasn't let that hold him back, according to Boys Soccer Head Coach Zack Owens.
"He is coming back from a collarbone surgery that kept him out all summer from training but he is just as strong as before his injury," Owens said. "It is like he didn't miss anything. He is tied for most goals this season, and is a huge asset to the team in the midfield."

This week OHS Senior Easton Beezley has been selected as Artist of the Week! Easton is a member of the OHS choir program and is a huge asset to the program, according to OHS Choir Teacher Connor Gately.
"Easton has spent his career at OHS striving to help others," Gately said. "Between singing in multiple choirs, teaching younger students as an A+ tutor, and serving as our resident audio expert, there is no job too challenging for him. He works incredibly hard and always does so with an eagerness to learn, grow and serve others."

This week OHS Senior Lexie Beauchamp has been selected as Tiger of the Week! Lexie is an important leader for the Ozark FFA chapter, serving as a officer this year, according to FFA Sponsor Jeremy Sisco.
"Lexie is the FFA president, this year," Sisco said. "She works very hard planning and organizing FFA events with her fellow officers."

Join the Ozark Tigers Booster Club
The Ozark Tigers Booster Club is looking for new members and will have tables set up at the OHS athletic events over the next few weeks! The Booster Club is made up of parents, family and community members volunteering to give back to the Ozark athletic teams, activities and clubs. They have raised and given back over $500,000 the past six years to Ozark programs. Make sure to stop at their table to get more information!
Meet Coach Zack Owens
Zack Owens is currently the head coach of the Ozark boys soccer team and has been since 2020. He was also recently named the head coach for the Ozark girls soccer team. Owens played soccer and tennis at Westminster College in Fulton, MO. He also holds a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Lindenwood University. He is a lifelong Tiger, playing soccer for and graduating from Ozark High School in 2002. He also teaches seventh-grade P.E./weights at Ozark Junior High School.
"I have grown up an Ozark Tiger, and I plan to live my life, always, as a proud Ozark Tiger," Owens said. "I want to be able to grow the sport I love in the community that helped raise and mold me into who I am. This town and school have given me so much, and this is a way to pay it back and forward."
OHS JROTC & FFA Help OJH Students Team Build
OHS JROTC and FFA students helped Ozark Junior High students work on team building during OJH's inaugural Team Day on Sept. 1! JROTC and FFA students helped facilitate a number of team-orientated activities like tug-of-war, board walking, barrel racing (with stick horses) and cornhole! Learn more about this awesome day here.
Ozark Girls Varsity Cross Country Takes 1st at SWCCA Meet
Girls Varsity Cross Country took first out of 21 teams at the SWCCA Meet! The boys teams also had a great meet with varsity placing 14th out of 21 teams and JV placing fourth out of 18 teams! Congrats Tigers! See are individual results here.
Boys Soccer has Great Start to Season!
Ozark Girls Finishes 9th at Lady Laker Golf Invitational
The girl's golf team traveled to Camdenton on Aug. 30 to compete in the Lady Laker Golf Invitational. The team finished ninth out of 20 teams and finished with a team score of 402. Congrats ladies! See individual results here.

Meet Ozark Alum, Hailee Vigneaux!
Hailee Vigneaux (class of '13) was awarded a Diamond 9 award earlier this year by the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame for her time playing softball at Ozark High School and Missouri State University. Vigneaux was a two-time Class 4 All-State selection, and received many other post season honors during her time at OHS. She set an all-time school record with 70 stolen bases, and finished her high school career ranked second at Ozark in career hits (151) and runs scored (115). She also helped Ozark’s 2012 team finish as a state runner-up.
