Mr. Chapman cannot stop talking about the outpouring of support that he has received from the SHOJ community during this difficult time. Facilities Planning Town Hall Meeting: Save the date for our Town Hall Meeting where the architects from SFS will share the results from the Facilities Planning Survey with the Parish! The meetings (choose one) will be held on Sunday, September 22 at 12:30 pm and Monday, September 23 at 7:00 pm, both in the MPC.

We will be giving away free smoothies for a year and a 15% discount off the ticket price for that day.

I’d like to set aside 1 winner for the free smoothies for a year for a student at Sacred Heart. We will have a Student bucket where students can put in their name and phone number, and check the box of which school they go to.

We will be giving away a total of 10 (2 for SJA, 2 for MVHS, 1 for Maranatha, 1 for Sacred Heart, and 4 to the general public).

Catholic Charities Food Truck is This Weekend

Daily Mass & Confession Next Week: There will be no daily Masses or confessions on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of next week, September 24-26 due to our Priests being on retreat.

October is Respect Life Month: Support life by participating in one of these events or activities. Our Parish's day to pray during the 40 Days for Life campaign is on Wednesday, September 25 and Saturday, October 5 in Overland Park. And Life Chain Sunday is on October 6 from 1:30-2:30 pm (SHoJ parishioners line up at 95th and Bluejacket). Your prayers and participation can save a life. Marriage Prep Mentor Training: Do you love your marriage? The archdiocesan Office of Marriage and Family Life is offering a live, online training for marriage prep mentor couples starting on October 9 and running through November. They are looking for couples from the parish to volunteer and support engaged couples in their journey. Currently, there are 7 SHOJ parishioner couples mentoring 14 engaged couples getting married in 2024, with 8 more scheduled for 2025! Fr. Zarse desires to have all engaged couples receive prep from parishioners to strengthen community ties. For more details, contact our Ministry Lead, Elizabeth Aguayo.

St. Benedict Rosary Prayer Group will meet on the little playground at 3:06 each Wednesday to pray The Rosary (or at least part of it) for SHOJ school. All are welcome, even littles can come play while you pray. Please join us.
