October Food Drive
During the month of October, we will be engaged in service learning through our annual food drive. Service learning occurs when students experience the act of serving others while learning academic and social emotional content. Each year, our school partners with the Carondelet Community Betterment Federation to host a non-perishable food drive. As we collect items, we will be learning how our donations can help others in need. We will also incorporate the foods and the process of collection into our curriculum. For example, counting and sorting items, "reading" the labels to increase language and literacy skills, learning about healthy foods, etc. We hope you will help us collect food for families in need.
Students can bring their items with them to class and we will help them place the items in our collection bins.
PTO INFORMATION
Listening and Learning Presentation with Dr. Lake!
Each year, we visit with Lindbergh parents, teachers, students and community members to talk about the work our school district is doing to prepare all students for successful futures, and the measures we are using to define student success.
We would like to thank the Lindbergh ECE PTO for allowing us time during its regular meeting on Monday, October 14 to share our annual Listening and Learning presentation. This presentation will cover the district's updated success measures, our revised five-year strategic plan, and upcoming priorities for facility improvements through the Prop R 2024 bond issue.
Together, we are creating a student-centered, future-ready experience for the next generation of learners, and we can’t wait to share more information with you.
