Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
We are looking forward to a full week of school with NO weather emails! Thank you for your support and flexibility as we “weathered” last week’s schedule! This week’s forecast looks fabulous and students will enjoy recess outside…so please be sure that they are prepared with the proper attire. (It will still be chilly during the morning recess.)
The reviews are in, and I am thrilled to share that The Greatest Show was a spectacular success! Our MARQUEE fundraiser dazzled with incredible energy, joyful performances, and a true celebration of our amazing community. A heartfelt thank you to our MARQUEE chairs, Betsy and Paul Austin, MaryAnn and DanTietjen, and Gina and Kevin Rau. Thank you, also, to the many volunteers whose dedication and showmanship made the night unforgettable. From the dancing and singing to the shared spirit of generosity, this event was a shining example of what makes our parish so special. We are truly blessed! A special thank you to Tom and Susie Elkins for once again creating a phenomenal MARQUEE video! Click HERE to enjoy the show!
Go Mustangs!

8th Grade Confirmation
Please keep our 8th Graders in your prayers this week as they receive the sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday at St. Cececila’s Cathedral. Students will enjoy a celebration breakfast in the Kenny Center after attending 8:15 Mass on Thursday. We are so proud of our students for their hard work to prepare for the sacrament, as well as the sponsors and parents who guided and supported their journey. We know that the gifts of the Holy Spirit they receive at Confirmation will provide everything needed to spread the good news of the Gospels.
Congratulations, Confirmandi!

Book Bowl
This year, Mary Our Queen’s Book Bowl team showed up, read up, and gave it their best shot in an exciting competition filled with fast-paced literary trivia! While we may not have taken home the trophy, our students put up a valiant effort, proving that the love of books is the real prize.
Armed with their knowledge of characters, plot twists, and authors, our team faced tough competition from schools across the area. They tackled questions with confidence, worked together like a well-written novel, and showed true MOQ spirit. Most importantly, they had fun, bonded over their favorite books, and walked away even more excited to keep reading!
A huge shoutout to our amazing students Harper A., Lily B., Marlo B., Joy P., Anna P. and Elliott W. for their dedication and teamwork, and to all the parents who supported them along the way. We’re so proud of their efforts and can’t wait to see what next year’s competition brings.
Until then—keep turning those pages, MOQ readers!
Kindergarten Roundup-- Welcome Mustangs!

Robotics State Champions!
MOQ had an absolutely sensational day at the VEX IQ Robotics State Championship, proudly sponsored by Gaining STEAM and held at the Strategic Air and Space Museum!
In the elementary division, 985P Project Phobos shined bright by winning the Tournament Finalist award while teaming up with 511-A Vortex-7 from Tara Heights Elementary. But that’s not all—985P also claimed the Innovate Award! This prestigious recognition honors a team for their cutting-edge, well-documented design process and innovative approach to robot design and gameplay. Congratulations to Arthur, Connor, Gabe, Kroy and Trevor.
Meanwhile, 985N Ninjaneers excelled at the competition, taking home the title of Tournament Champions alongside 29312D The Purple Ones from Hampton, Nebraska! 985N topped the state with the highest programming skills and went on to secure the Excellence Award, which highlights their exceptional performance in both judged awards and on-field action. Thanks to this incredible achievement, 985N is headed straight for the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship in May! Congratulations to Lyla, Grace, Jane, Cat and Maeve.
In the middle school division, 985C CostCo Cookies swept the competition, earning the Tournament Champions title alongside 5068G Gold from Millard North Middle School. Not only did they secure a spot at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship, but they also clinched second place in skills and took home the coveted Think Award for their innovative use of coding and programming solutions to tackle game challenges. Congratulations to Oliver, Landen, Joe and Braxton.
But the success didn’t stop there! 985B delivered an outstanding performance across multiple categories—teamwork matches, skills, notebook judging, and interviews. Their hard work and dedication earned them the Excellence Award, which means 985B will also be representing their team at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship!
