Service Recognition, Conversations with Dr. Lawson, and Athletics
Dear CCPS Families,
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the dedicated employees of Cecil County Public Schools who recently celebrated significant milestones in their service. The Service Recognition Ceremony on November 29 honored individuals who have devoted 30, 35, 40, and 45 years to our school district. Their unwavering commitment is truly commendable, and their contributions have left a lasting impact on our community.
As we continue to foster open communication, I want to remind CCPS families that they have the opportunity to engage in discussions about their concerns. I encourage you to sign up for meetings at your feeder high school, where I will be available to address any questions or feedback you may have. Your input is invaluable, and we are committed to working collaboratively to enhance the educational experience for all.
In addition, I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Perryville Girls' Soccer and Football teams for their outstanding performances in the recent playoffs. Your dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship have truly shone, bringing pride and joy to our school community.
As we celebrate these achievements, we also look forward to the upcoming winter season for our athletic teams. The winter season marks a new chapter for our student-athletes, and we wish them all the best as they embark on their journeys. May this season be filled with growth, camaraderie, and success.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.

These presentations address the root causes of school violence, bullying, prejudice, and self-harm through student wellness programs that build connection, hope and resilience.
