Welcome to 2025: A Year of Opportunity and Growth
As we step into 2025, we are filled with optimism and excitement for the opportunities ahead. Thank you to our students, staff, parents, and community members for the dedication and partnership that make our schools a place of excellence. Together, we will continue to achieve great things this year!
Welcoming a New Board Member
The school board members will conduct interviews on January 9th for a 6 month appointment to the Meade School Board. The board will welcome a new member at the January 13th meeting, due to the resignation of Darrell Vig in December. We thank Mr. Vig for his service and dedication to our district.
Strategic Planning for the Future
At the January 23rd board meeting, the Board of Education will select a company to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan. This process will involve gathering input from community members, parents, and staff to establish a shared vision and actionable goals for the future of Meade 46-1. We are excited to engage with stakeholders and chart a course for continued success in our district.
Stay Connected with Meade School District
Communication is key to building a strong partnership between our schools and families. Stay informed about events, updates, and important announcements by following our districtβs social media pages and downloading the Meade School District App. These platforms provide real-time information and highlight the amazing things happening in our schools.
We encourage families to use these tools to stay engaged and connected. Whether itβs checking board agendas, finding scheduled events, receiving alerts, or celebrating student achievements, our app and social media pages make it easy to stay in the loop.

Temple joins Sturgis Brown from the Douglas School District, where he most recently served as Communications Coordinator, managing district-wide communications strategy and community engagement initiatives.
