A MESSAGE FROM MRS. COLLYER
To our Third Grade and Fourth Grade Parents:
Another reminder :)
M-Step is a great time to have our students show off how much they know and how much they have learned. Test taking can be stressful, BUT also can be a time to take a challenge. Here at Coolidge we are teaching students to do their absolute best, take things seriously when needed and always have GRIT. During M-Step testing we have many motivating and exciting things planned for our 3rd and 4th graders. There are ways you can help too. PLEASE do not schedule appointments for the mornings (Monday - Thursday) during our testing window, 4/15-5/2 Please also help us by getting your child to school on time, fed and well-rested. More information to follow. Thank you for the support.HELP WANTED
Help needed! The PTA is planning a special surprise project for staff appreciation week. We are in need of additional volunteers to make this a successful project. Please look over the sign up and sign up for any times you can help with! We are trying to get all slots filled so it runs smoothly. Thank you for your support!

MESSAGE FROM COACH P
Dear Parents,
May 23, 2024 is this year's date for our annual Field Day event. The event, like last year, will happen in two different shifts. The first shift will run from 9-11:30am and the second shift will run from 12-3pm. Last year, thanks to your help we were able to pull off a wonderful event. We hope that this year will be just as memorable as last year.
Without your support this event would not be possible. This year I have developed a Sign-Up Genius for Field Day volunteers as well as a Sign-Up Genius for donations to field day to help offset the cost of our event. If you are able to help or be willing to donate something please see the Sign-Up Genius for the event and donations.

New this year, in conjunction with our fabulous PTA, we will be celebrating the end of Field Day with a Color Run. Starting at 3pm all students will be participating in the Color Run. This is an amazing opportunity to celebrate all of our students' accomplishments over the year. We are looking for volunteers to help with this end of the day event as well. To sign up to help with this event please see the Field Day Sign-Up list. Just a heads up you will be very colorful for your ride home.
If you are planning on spending any part of your day with us please make sure that you have filled out the I-CHAT form either through the link or the QR Code listed below. I-CHAT forms are only good for 1 school year so if you have not completed a form for this school year you will need to complete a new one.

COOLIDGE DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES
Drop off and pick up are stressful times in our parking lot. Please drive slowly, be patient and obey the following procedures at all times. Our children’s safety is most important during these times.
The Parking lot / Parent Walk Up- The parking lot can be used for drop off or pick up. Your car should be parked in a parking spot and you will need to utilize the crosswalk to walk your child to and from the school doors.
Your child should NEVER be in the parking lot without you at their side. The ONLY place that parking or sitting is permitted, is in a designated parking space. Parking anywhere else could prevent our buses from coming or going.
Crosswalks - We have three crosswalks in the parking lot. Please come to a complete stop at each one and use them to cross when walking across the lot.
LOOP -PARENT PICK-UP
The Loop (Recommended) – The loop can be used for drop off or pick up. Students should remain in their cars until the car has come to a complete stop in the painted half circle area. Please do not let your child out of the car, or wave your child to your car, while you are in any other part of the loop area or driveway. Do not leave the loop area until the vehicle in front of you has left.
When using the loop this school year we ask that you place a sign in your car with your last name. Please place the sign in the passenger's side window. One of our staff members will greet you by the opening of the loop. They will then let your child know which numbered spot you will be meeting them at.
