Principal's Message
Greetings, Ericson Families,
We are seeking five amazing parents to volunteer just 20 minutes of their time in the morning from 7:20 to 7:40 a.m. to help with the Viking Drop Off Zone in the south parking lot. Your support will significantly ease congestion and enhance the safety of our students as they arrive at school. Alongside our student helpers who will assist with opening car doors, your presence will ensure a smooth drop-off experience without the need for parking.
If you can volunteer for even one day, we would greatly appreciate it. Please fill out the Viking Drop Off Survey (linked here), if you’re interested in helping us get this initiative up and running! Thank you for your support.
Please also ensure that your children are not arriving to school before breakfast starts at 7:25 a.m. There is no supervision before 7:25 a.m. and our Cafeteria staff needs to focus on getting breakfast ready and are not responsible for supervising children before 7:25 a.m. Any parent who drops off their children before 7:25 a.m, without an adult present with them, will receive a reminder call to please not have your children come to school before 7:25 a.m. Thank you for you attention to this.

Counselor's Update
Hello Ericson Families,
This week is a bit different, Mr Z was out Thursday and Friday to visit his family in Virginia so only a few classes had lessons. 4th graders worked on understanding complex feelings. 1st graders learned all about how to be assertive and how to avoid being passive or aggressive. 2nd graders learned how to identify feelings and read “A Little Spot of Anxiety”.

Friends of Ericson General Body Meeting
Thank you to all of you who came to our meeting and to Ms. Frasure for representing the teachers!!
Attending these meetings allows parents to share their input on upcoming events and school enrichment activities.
We will have another general meeting in the Spring.
Fall Festival: Friday, October 11th, from 5-8pm.

You can also pay it forward and sponsor another family at Ericson.
We want to make sure that all Vikings who would like to attend have the ability to regardless of financial status. Admission to the event is FREE. If you are unable to purchase a wristband due to financial hardship, please reach out to your teacher and they will discretely provide you a free wristband for unlimited carnival games/inflatables.
This event is a fundraiser for all of the grade levels; ticket sales and proceeds go directly back to the school!
The Friends of Ericson will be outside of the main gate on Monday, 9/30 at 1:45pm, and before school on Thursday, October 3rd, selling presales for tickets and wristbands.

Calling All Parents, Guardians, & Grandparents!
Fall Festival - Parent Volunteers Needed!
Raise money for your grade levels to pay for field trips and other enrichment activities!
The teachers are volunteering their time to help raise money for our kids, but we cannot do this without parents.
Volunteers will help collect tickets, hand out food, and restock supplies at tables, carnival rides, and outside of the haunted house.
As of now, we still still need Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and 4th Grade parents to run their sections.
