The Pinon Elementary Art Room
Happy New Year 2025!
Welcome back from winter break. I hope everyone had time to relax and time to have some adventures. It's great to see all the smiling faces as we return to school.
Over break my family and I had the opportunity to learn the art of glass blowing. It inspired me to look back at one of my favorite artists, Dale Chihuly. This inspiration lead me to create an art unit for grades kindergarten to second. You will learn more about this below.
Multicultural Fair
The Multicultural Fair will be held at Pinon on May 5th. This will be the last fair in our old building. Let's make it incredible!!! Soon I will put out a call for participants. Please consider joining us! You are welcome to contact me with any questions.

Sixth Grade Clay Bobbleheads
You may have heard, the Pinon kiln is broken. I've spoken with our district electrician, who is working with a kiln repair man (the only one in NM) to fix it. Unfortunately, parts need to be ordered and then the kiln needs rebuilt. The sixth grade will finish their bobbleheads as soon as the kiln is fixed. Stay tuned...
