I hope you have had an amazing summer so far! New Enlgnad sure has given us some summer heat this year! The Sanderson Academy staff are well prepared and excited for the beginning of the school year. Kindergarten - Sixth Grade Students: Wednesday, August 28th is the first day of school. August 28, 29 and 30 are 12:30 releases. On the afternoons of August 28, 29 and 30, Intake Meetings will be held with caregivers.

Preschool Students: On Friday, August 30th from 9:00 - 10:00, preschool families are invited to visit the classrooms. Teachers will be conducting home visits before school begins. The first day of preschool is Tuesday, September 3rd.

Before and After Care will begin on Tuesday, September 3rd. For information about the program, email Alexis Svoboda at asvoboda@mtrsd.org

We hope you can join us on September 4th for a potluck! The rain date will be Thursday, September 5th.

• All students are eligible for free breakfasts and lunches.

• Back-to-school paperwork will be sent home in the Thursday Folders. Please return this paperwork as soon as possible.

• The newsletter will be sent by email on every other Thursday. It will also be posted on the Sanderson Academy website and Facebook page. If you need a paper copy, please notify the office.

• Student drop-off begins at 8:30. School begins at 8:45. Students have outside time from 8:30-8:45. Student pick-up is at 3:10.

• Vehicles should not enter the drop off circle between 8:15 and 8:45 in the morning.

• Vehicles should not enter the drop off circle between 3:00 and 3:30 in the afternoon.

• Vehicles should never park in the fire lane.

• All visitors are required to check in at the office upon arrival.

Open House will take place on Wednesday, September 18th from 6:00 to 7:00.

As a reminder, lunches are free for all.
