NWMS Weekly Parent Update

Good afternoon,

This week marks the half way point of 2nd Quarter and Interim Progress Reports will be available to parents in PowerSchool on Tuesday, 12/10. If you are not able to access your child's Interim Progress Report please reach out to our Data Manager, Mrs. Ramana, at ramanal@gcsnc.com or call 336-605-3333.

Each day all our students attend WIN (What I Need) at the beginning of each day. In this 30 minute block they practice Reading and Math Skills using District Resources called Achieve 3000 and Zearn. They also spend time with the WIN teacher each week building Social/Emotional Skills. Please ask your child about their experiences in WIN. They meet with their WIN teacher and talk about their progress on assessments, their attendance, any behavior concerns, and they also check their grades in PowerSchool. Parents can also reach out to your child's WIN teacher if you feel your child needs support in any area.

Next week's Math Club meeting is ONLY for students who have missed one of the two practice rounds for Math Counts? They should see Mrs. McMillan if they are unsure if they are required to attend or not. We will meet again as a whole group on Wednesday, Dec. 18th.
