🐰 ❤Welcome to December at Owens Elementary,

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving week. I am thankful for your support of our school and for being our partner in educating the children in our wonderful community. December is a month full of fun activities and celebrations. Students are already participating in the dress days, and it is so fun to see them excited about the festivities. I am super excited about our Family Winter Night on Tuesday, December 10th at 5:30 pm and I hope to see you all there. We’re also opening our school for parents for the Holiday Class Parties on December 20th. One of my goals this year is to increase our family engagement and parent participation. As we go through the last three weeks of the year, I also want us to work together to keep students safe and focused on their academic work. Please remind your student to show their HOP behavior every day. HOP is part of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program and it stands for Hardworking, Ownership, and Polite. We want our Jackrabbits to feel school pride in being part of the Number 1 school in America, Owens Elementary in the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District.

🐰 💙 Bienvenidos a diciembre en la Primaria Owens,

Espero que hayan tenido una maravillosa semana de Acción de Gracias. Estoy agradecido por su apoyo a nuestra escuela y por poder trabajar con ustedes para educar a los niños de nuestra maravillosa comunidad. Diciembre es un mes lleno de actividades divertidas y celebraciones. Los estudiantes ya están participando en los días de vestimenta, y es divertido verlos entusiasmados con las festividades. Estoy súper emocionado por nuestra Noche Familiar de Invierno el martes 10 de diciembre a las 5:30 pm y espero verlos a todos ahí. También estamos abriendo nuestra escuela para los padres para las Fiestas de las Clases el 20 de diciembre. Una de mis metas este año es aumentar nuestro compromiso familiar y la participación de los padres. A medida que pasamos las últimas tres semanas del año, también quiero que trabajemos juntos para mantener a los estudiantes seguros y enfocados en su trabajo académico. Por favor recuérdele a su estudiante que muestre su comportamiento HOP todos los días. HOP es parte de nuestro programa PBIS ( por sus siglas en inglés) Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) y significa Trabaja Fuerte, Se Responsable y Respetuoso. Queremos que nuestros “Jackrabbits” se sientan orgullosos de ser parte de la escuela número 1 en América, la Escuela Primaria Owens del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Cypress-Fairbanks.
