Principal's Message
Happy New Year, and welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing holiday season, filled with joy and time to connect with loved ones.
As we begin 2025, I want to express how thankful I am to work with such an amazing group of students and families. Your support and partnership are vital to our school’s success, and I’m excited about the incredible opportunities this semester holds for all of us.
This spring, we remain focused on fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. Student success is our top priority, and we know that a strong connection between home and school is key.
I’d like to take a moment to emphasize the importance of student attendance. Please ensure that your student arrives to school on time each day, as being present and punctual is essential for academic growth and creating consistent routines. Additionally, let’s work together to encourage our students to make it to class on time and to make good decisions while at school. These habits are crucial not only for academic success but also for personal growth and responsibility.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our students and school community. With your support, I’m confident that this semester will be filled with growth, learning, and positive experiences for everyone.
Let’s make it an amazing semester!
i-Ready Weekly Lessons Reminder
Students are expected to complete two lessons in Math and two lessons in ELA each week. Your support at home is invaluable in helping them stay on track. Students can also work on additional i-Ready lessons at home to reinforce their learning and make even greater progress.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can ensure our students have a successful and productive semester!
Thank you for your partnership and support!

Important Reminder About Social Media and Gaming Chats
An ongoing concern we’ve observed is the inappropriate use of social media and gaming chats. While this issue is not unique to our students, many online interactions have led to conflicts between peers. Alarmingly, we’ve also encountered instances where students have used these platforms to arrange exchanges or sales of various items, some of which are illegal.
We strongly encourage you to monitor your child’s social media and gaming activity closely. If you come across anything concerning, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. By working together, we can address these issues proactively and maintain a safe and supportive school environment.
Thank you for your partnership in supporting our students’ well-being.
Words Matter!
Please continue to have conversations with your children about the power of their words. It’s important that we work together to remind our students that racist and hurtful language has no place at SFiAM. By reinforcing this message at home and modeling respectful and positive communication, we can foster a safe and inclusive environment for everyone in our community.
Thank you for your partnership in making our school a welcoming place for all.
No School On Monday, January 20th
SFiAM will be closed on January 20th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.
