We will have our annual Fall/Halloween party and parade on Friday the 29th of October. We are currently waiting on the Chesterfield Police to give us the thumbs up, but our tentative plan is:
- The parade will begin at 9:20 am.
- It will follow the traditional route heading west on HCR Drive, left on Schoettler Valley, left on Grantley, left on Rockmoor Driver, and then right on HCR Dr to return to school.
- Parents are invited to stand on the opposite sidewalk and wave and greet students.
- No candy or objects may be given or thrown to students.
- Kids will return to school, have a day of fun, and then end the half-day with a 12 - 1 pm Fall/ Halloween Party sponsored by our amazing parent community.
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, on October 29, Trunk or Treat - This is an optional community event. Parents will park on HCR Drive and walk through the HCR parking lot visiting Trunks for Treats! This entire event will be outside and spaced out.

Being Healthy as a Family
Fall is a GREAT time to take advantage of the weather and get outside. There are many places in St. Louis that you can go as a family for hiking, biking and walking. A really great trail that I have gone to often with my family is Castlewood State Park.
You can hike up the hills for a great view, or walk next to the river for a less hilly walk. BONUS is there is a playground for the kiddos to use after the hike/walk!
It is located at 1401 Kiefer Creek Road, Ballwin, MO 63021. Castlewood State Park opens at 7 a.m. and closes a half-hour after sunset.
October’s Healthy Recipe
*These are healthy and fun to make as a family! I have made these a handful of times and my kids love them. Click the link above to see the ingredient list and recipe.
Red Ribbon/Spirit Week October 25-29
The week of October 25-29 we will recognize National Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. We want to model for our children a commitment to drug prevention, education, and a personal commitment to live drug-free. Being healthy includes eating right, exercising, and saying no to drugs and alcohol. You are never too young to develop healthy habits. This can be a difficult conversation for young children however, you can choose to have conversations about being healthy and taking care of our hearts and bodies. A student leadership committee has chosen the following spirit days during this week.
Monday, October 25 – Rock Your Rosie Red! Wear red or Highcroft Spirit Wear to kick off Red Ribbon Week.
Tuesday, October 26 - Go Team & Role Model Day - Wear your favorite sports team or channel your role model.
Wednesday, October 27 - Comfy Cozy Day - Wear your most comfortable clothes. A great day for PJs!
Thursday, October 28 – Rainbow & Tie Dye Day - Wear tie-dye, rainbow colors or your Ava Strong shirt. (Mercy Blood Drive event is this evening,)
Friday, October 29 - Halloween Parade - Come dressed in your costumes for the Halloween parade.
