Thank You
Thank you for the wonderful snacks, pizza, and supplies. I love that the staff of Hanawalt are supported and cared for by the families! It means a lot to all of us, so thank you.
Impossible Shot
We're excited to introduce the Impossible Shot as a fun behavior incentive in PE! When students show their best behavior during class, they earn a chance to try the Impossible Shot—throwing a tennis ball from 8 feet away into a 6-foot PVC pipe. If they make the shot, their picture will be proudly displayed on our bulletin board for everyone to see! This is a great way to encourage positive behavior while adding an extra element of excitement to our PE activities. Ask your child if they’ve had a chance to take the shot!
Book Character Pumpkin Showcase
Parents and Guardians,
Our inaugural Book Character Pumpkin Showcase has started! Entries are being accepted now through the last week in October. There are already several pumpkins that have been turned in for the showcase. Please bring them to the media center to Mr. Surprenant. We will send pumpkins home at the end of the month.
The rules are easy, decorate a pumpkin(s) or gourd(s) as your favorite book character(s).
Pumpkins may be painted, dressed, or accessorized, but not carved. Please note that pumpkins that have holes in them tend to go bad quickly, so painting and accessorizing works best for school.
All entries will be winners and receive a book of their choice to keep!
