Happy Friday, Kramer families! We hope you've had a wonderful week. We had a fantastic week filled with learning, creativity, and Halloween spirit! The students celebrated with costumes, crafts, and fun activities. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out our amazing staff!
As the weather turns cooler, please remember to send hats, gloves, jackets, and sweatshirts with your students. Please make sure that you mark your student's name and/or initials in your items. We have a large number of items in our lost and found. If your child is missing items, please stop by Kramer and check out the lost and found items.
If your family is in need of any winter clothing such as hats, gloves, jackets, or sweatshirts, don’t hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Pike, Ms. Durham, or Mr. Merz, and they’ll be happy to assist.
*Friendly Drop-Off Reminder*
To ensure the safety of all our students, please remember to use the designated vehicle drop-off line at the back of the building each morning. Officer Sikora has kindly spoken with a few parents who have been dropping students off at the front, but this area is reserved for families who park and walk their children in, as well as our bus riders. We have staff members ready and available at the back to assist your children safely into school. Thank you for your cooperation!
**LOST & FOUND**
Cleaning out 11/22/24
If your child is missing anything, please have them check the lost and found located outside the nurse clinic. Parents may also stop by before or after school to look as well. We will be donating all items to local charities on NOVEMBER 22, 2004.
*DISMISSAL CHANGES*
To help ensure students arrive at their correct dismissal location, we kindly ask that you contact the main office by 2:30 PM if there are any changes to your child’s dismissal plan. While we understand that emergencies can happen, we’ve noticed a significant increase in last-minute changes around 3:00 PM, which can cause confusion and delays.
By notifying us by 2:30 PM, we can make sure your child receives a dismissal note and reaches the right spot after school.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us

These items will be sent to Kramer and our school social worker, Chelsea Pike, will coordinate getting each family their gifts. This list will be left up until December 6th. Any contribution is extremely appreciated! If you have any questions (or are in need of holiday help) please contact Chelsea Pike at pikec@talawanda.org. AFTER SCHOOL FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The enrollment period for our After School World Language Program is now beginning. This year, the program is open to grades 3-5 students. The program aims to provide students with a basic introduction to a foreign language, stimulate interest in further study of world languages, and promote an appreciation for another culture. We have partnered with a Miami University class that has developed a comprehensive curriculum for this program. We are excited to continue to offer this opportunity to our students.
Ten class sessions will be held. On Tuesdays from February 4th through April 29th, students in grades 3-5 will attend classes at their home school. Class sessions will begin at 3:30 and end at 4:30. As in the past, parents must provide students' transportation home and be on time.
This year we can offer the following languages: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL). The volunteer instructors will be students from Miami University. Language assignments are dependent on the availability of our Miami volunteers.
The cost for this program is $10. Please send your student with a drink. Allergy-free snacks will be provided but drinks are NOT provided by Talawanda. During inclement weather when school is canceled, the world language class is also canceled.
In order to facilitate enrollment and class assignments, please fill out the other side of this letter, including cash or check, and return it to your child's classroom or teacher no later than Friday, November 22nd.
