Emmott Eagle News
September 30, 2024
A Note from Ms. Hernandez
I am excited to have completed our first few weeks of school and have LAUNCHed into a great start of the school year! Thank you for your continuous participation during school events for Back to School this year. I look forward to engagement opportunities this year that will involve you and your child(ren) as a part of our Eagle Community.
I'd like to Thank You for your dedication and commitment to the safety of our Eagles. This year our adjustment to our Transportation Plan involved all members of our community to review, revisit, and reset our process for arrival and dismissal. After a few weeks of revisiting our plan here at Emmott, it is evident that our teamwork is in full effect. You have done a great job of supporting our efforts to ensure the safety of our campus!
This month we have a few highlights for involving our students in theme days that celebrate and bring awareness to campus initiatives. I encourage to mark those dates on the calendar for school-wide participation. Our goal is to celebrate the excellence here at Emmott and share our EAGLE PRIDE with the community!
I appreciate your support as we LAUNCH INTO LEARNING this year with all of our Eagles!
Thank you for being a part of our school community and I look forward to seeing you soon at upcoming events!

Emmott Parent Lunch Visits
We are so excited to have parents/guardians visit their students during lunch. We will have two days available for lunch visitors, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This year we will be encouraging our parent/student lunch tables to serve as a PHONE FREE ZONE. We ask that if you choose to have lunch with your child during their lunch period, that our EAGLE PRIDE continues and you allow your child to teach you our EMMOTT ways and share the great things happening in their classrooms through positive conversations!
Please remember that ALL Visitors must have a form of Identification (ID) in order to visit the campus.
Breakfast Information
We are excited to continue our participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. The CEP is a federally funded option that allows all Emmott students to eat breakfast and lunch during the school day for free. This is exciting for our campus because there will be no cost for breakfast and lunch at Emmott.
Our campus will be a Grab & Go Breakfast campus that allows all students to pick up breakfast from our cafetiera and get to class before the tardy bell. Because we are a CEP campus once again this year, students will not be permitted to bring in breakfast items from outside of the school to eat in the classroom.
We will be encouraging all of our Eagles to eat breakfast upon arrival as part of our morning routine from the cafeteria.
