Dear OLOM families,

Thank you once again for a wonderful second week. Your kind words of encouragement and welcome have truly made a strong impression on me.

This week, our staff have been helping students learn their daily routines so they become automatic. When children know what to expect each day and have a consistent routine, they can focus more on their feelings and learning.

School Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminder
A reminder that our school gates do not open until 8:15 am. If you need supervision for your child before this time, please contact Alida at our After School Care provider, Kids Academy, to arrange care.

Similarly, students must be collected by 3:05 pm at the end of the school day. If you are unable to pick them up by then, please contact Kids Academy for supervision.

Meet and Greet Evening – Friday 21 February
On Friday 21 February, we invite families to our Meet and Greet evening from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, see their classroom, and ask any questions.

Please remember that this is a short introduction, not a time for long discussions or private meetings. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher in more detail, please arrange a separate time to meet.

OLOM Sundowner – Friday 21 February
Following the Meet and Greet, our wonderful P&F will host the OLOM Sundowner from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

There will be ice-cream vans, cool drinks, and sausage sizzles available for purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic. This is an alcohol-free event. This is a great opportunity to meet other families, make new friends, and enjoy our amazing school community. I will be there and would love to share this time with you.

Come along and visit your child's class and meet their teacher - they would love to say hello! You can visit between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm. Then join the fun on the oval from 5 pm onwards with food and fun activities.

Come down to the school for some fun in foam, sausage sizzle, ice cream and coffee vans. Bring a picnic dinner, and bathers and a towel for the foam canon. Classrooms open at 4:30 to meet teachers, activities start at 5:30 near the basketball courts and the evening ends at 7.30pm. It's a fun event - we look forward to seeing you there!

We are also asking for volunteers to help with the Sausage Sizzle stand. If you are available to help, please see Sharon Young in the OLOM Admin office or call 9207 7677. Thank you.

We are enrolling for Kindy 2026. If you have family or friends with children entering Kindy next year, invite them to book a visit - Mr Sirolli would love to show them around the school. Children very welcome too! Just speak with Mrs Caruso in the office.

Kids Academy runs before and after school care here at OLOM. Pop into see them if you are interested in using this service to help look after your child before or after school.
