2025 - 2026 Kindergarten Information
Do you have a child you would like to enroll in kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year? If so, please complete the below informational survey. This will ensure that you are on the list for us to communicate important information and the 2025-2026 registration opening in the future. Your child must be 5 years of age ON or BEFORE September 1st, 2025 to be eligible for kindergarten.
5Essentials Parent Survey
D10 invites all parents and guardians to take the 5Essentials survey by clicking here or the button below.
Once on the webpage, please select an English or Spanish option from the “Parent Survey” section located on the right side. The survey will be available through Friday, March 28.
According to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), the 5Essentials survey provides school districts with valuable data that can be used to guide school improvement efforts and ensure students receive a high-quality education. The survey is administered by Chicago Impact at the University of Chicago on behalf of the ISBE and measures the following five “essentials” deemed critical for school success:
- Effective leaders
- Collaborative teachers
- Involved families
- Supportive environments
- Ambitious instruction
Please know that your identity and responses will be kept confidential and will not be connected
with your child. If you have multiple children who attend D10 schools, you may complete one survey for each child. However, only one parent per household may submit a survey for a given child. The survey closes on March 28, so please submit your responses soon!
For more information, please visit www.isbe.net/Pages/5Essentials-Survey.aspx
