A Message From Principal Abeal
On Friday May 3rd, West Belmar School participated in "Kids Heart Challenge!" The entire school was involved in a 45-minute cardiovascular jump rope activity. The funds raised will be donated to the American Heart Association, which support life saving research and educational programs. Our school set a record raising over $13,000.00 for the American Heart Association. Amazing job, West Belmar School Community!
The kindergarten and first grade celebrated their moms with special Mother’s Day Teas. Students had the opportunity to perform songs, skits, write poems and show their love to their mothers during the teas. Mrs. Turek created a beautiful art walk that will take place directly after school on Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th from 3:30 - 4:00 pm.
The fifth grade will be very busy until the end of the school year. On Friday, May 17th the LEAD picnic will be held at Oak Tree Lodge from 5:00 – 7:30 pm. The annual Fun and Fitness Day will take place at Wall High School on May 21st. This special day is designed to assist all the district’s fifth graders with their transition to intermediate school.
Please note, the Wall Township Public Schools will be closed on Friday, May 24th and Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day. The month ends with Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday, May 30th 1:00 pm.
