Reminder:

The ONLY YEAR that truly matters at this time is 9th grade.

Students will be revising this plan every year.

• In Focus, your student will have a digital copy of their PGP.
• Once the HS Counselors have met with all students (February), students will have the opportunity to update their PGP in Focus (until March).

• January 10th - RHS Magnet Tour

• January 14th - RHS Eagle Celebration

• January 14th - Online Magnet Applications Open

• January 31st - Applications Due

• Before Spring Break - Magnet Notifications Sent

• Mid February - Complete Course Requests

• Approx. March 17th - Course Verification Letters will be sent home

• Approx. March 24th- Signed Course Verification Letters due back to counselors

Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools

• Students can earn a high school diploma, along with

• An Associate degree or Level 1 certificate from Dallas College

• Industry-based certification(s)

• 4 year pathway
• PCT, EKG Certifications
• Dallas College Level 1 Certificate
• Hospital clinical rotations
• College credit earned
• Starting pay $15.00 +/hour upon certification and employment

• 4 year pathway

• Dallas College automatic admission to Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and Teaching degree program (BAS-ECE)

• Paid teacher apprenticeship with RISD in last two semesters of BAS-ECE ($30K)

• Earn Bachelor’s Degree

• Pass teacher certification tests

• GUARANTEED TEACHING JOB in RISD when all employment criteria are met
