Mindful minute:
Are you missing moments in your life? Try practicing being present:
Cultivate unselfconsciousness: let go and stop thinking about your performance.
Practice savoring: avoid worrying about the future by fully experiencing the present.
Focus on your breath: allow mindfulness to make you more peaceful and smooth your interactions with others.

IB Update
Two New IB Courses Offered at TR Next Year
As students here at ThunderRidge High School are beginning registration for courses next year, we here in the International Baccalaureate department are excited to highlight two of our new offerings for 2024/2025 school year: IB Theatre and IB Global Politics.
The IB Theatre course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of various aspects of theater, including performance, production, and analysis. This course will give TRHS students the opportunity to dive deeper into their passions for theater while also having the possibility of earning college credit for their work. This is a unique class that is not available to many students with only about 3,500 young people worldwide taking the class annually. We are very excited about the return of IB Theatre to ThunderRidge for next year!
The IB Global Politics course aims to develop students' critical thinking skills and knowledge about the world of politics. The curriculum focuses on a global view of politics and approaches these ideas through Political Concepts and Theories, International Relations, Political Systems and Structures, Key Global Issues, and Civic Engagement. This a brand new course to ThunderRidge and we are thrilled that students will be able to learn more about the world around them while also having the opportunity to earn college credit.
Any student interested in learning more about these courses should inquire with Mr. Risner in the IB Office, Ms. Hurley (Theatre), or Mr. Carroll (Global Politics). We would love to see these classes grow and thrive here at TRHS!!
