We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon! Please take a look at the important information below as we get ready for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

You will be able to view student schedules on Infinite Campus on Thursday, August 15, at 8:00 AM. If needed, printed copies of schedules will be available to students on the the first day of school and at our open house.

Our CFMS Open House is not mandatory; however, it is an opportunity for students (must be accompanied by an adult) to come and find their classes on a self-guided tour.

• There will be maps of the school located at each entrance. We will also have printed copies of student schedules in the gym, if you need one.
• You may pay student registration fees (more information below) by cash or check in the gym if you are not paying electronically.
• You may drop off medications or any immunization information in the health office (main office - near door 2).
• Teachers will be working in their classrooms during the Open House.

As in the past, all parents/caregivers will need to register each of their children attending the middle school prior to the start of the school year and pay their registration fee if you haven’t already done so.

The online registration process is required for each student. Completion of the process allows your student access to a number of privileges including field trips, access to the internet, and use of district chromebooks/ipads.

Parents/caregivers will only be able to register their children through the online registration system. This process eliminates the need for families to complete and return paperwork to the schools. Please begin the process by logging into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need help logging in, click on the "Problems logging in?" link on the login screen. For help with the online process, email our help desk at helpdesk@chipfalls.org and include your phone number, or call our help desk at 715-726-2413 for assistance.

If your student is a member of more than one household, please understand that only one household can complete the online process.

The registration fee can also be paid online through the Infinite Campus Portal. You can view fees still owed on the Infinite Campus parent portal or you may call the Business Office at (715) 726-2400 ext. 2214.

Summer reminders from the health office:

With summer here, many families are making visits with their student’s Primary Care Provider. If your student develops a new medical condition or has changes to a previous condition over the summer, please reach out so we can make a plan for next school year.

As online registration is being filled out, please remember that if you would like/need medication to be given at school the Parental Permission to Administer Medication form must be filled out. Please see additional specifics on the School Health Services website.

Last, there have been changes to the State of Wisconsin School Immunization Requirements. Please see this link for a copy of summary of changes.

Tuesday, September 3, is the first day of school for ONLY 6th grade students, new students, and 8th grade WEB leaders. Seventh graders and the rest of the 8th graders should not attend school on Tuesday, September 3. All students will attend on Wednesday, September 4.

The WEB program helps to transition 6th graders into the middle school. On this day, all 6th graders should enter the building at 8:21 a.m. through Door 5 on the southeast side of the building (gym entrance - near football field). Students should bring NOTHING on this day and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. A regular school lunch is served on this day.

If your child rides the bus to and from school, this will be a great day for them to become familiar with those procedures. We will have extra staff available to assist students in finding their buses.

We are looking forward to having a great WEB day and have wonderful activities planned for our 6th graders! All students will attend on Wednesday, September 4.

On your child's first day of school if they know their first period teacher, we will take it from there - no worries! Schedules can be accessed on Infinite Campus. Printed schedules will be given to all students on the first day of school.

Doors do not open until 8:21 AM, so please plan accordingly.

When students arrive on campus in the morning, they will head to the following locations:

• 6th Grade - Door 5 (gym doors - near football field)
• 7th Grade - Door 3 (east side of building at start of bus entrance)
• 8th Grade - Door 1 (northwest corner of building)
• Breakfast - Students eating breakfast at school will be entering Door 4 starting at 8:05 AM.

**Bike racks are located outside door 5, nearest the football field.

**Bus pick up and drop off only on the east side of the building bus loop - no other vehicles.

**Parent/Caregiver pick up and drop off in the parent loop on the north end of the building.

Please see the drawing below regarding the flow of traffic from Mansfield Street into our north parking lot and drop-off/pick-up loop.

To help with the safety of our pedestrians with vehicle and bus traffic, please DO NOT stop or park along Tropicana Blvd. The parking lot off of Tropicana Blvd is for buses only.

Thank you for your attention to this and keeping traffic moving in a safe and efficient manner before and after school.

Students will have the opportunity to have their photo taken for the yearbook during school on Thursday, September 12. There will also be an opportunity to order pictures, etc. at your convenience if you choose.

• This link will allow parents/caretakers to sign up to receive updates via email regarding your child's school portraits. These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. When entering student information, be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at school.

• Each CFMS student will checkout a school Chromebook. These will be distributed on the first days of school.

• Students are able to bring Chromebooks home with them at night. It is a student's responsibility to charge and care for the device at home. Students should bring charged Chromebooks to school daily.

Please make sure that Infinite Campus information is up to date and includes a list of people to contact in case a child needs to be picked up during the school day.

The Chippewa Falls Middle School primarily communicates with parents and/or guardians electronically. All parents and guardians who receive school information electronically must have their parent portal in Infinite Campus set up in order to access report cards, schedules, homework assignments, grades, attendance, fee statements, etc. We are pleased to offer parents this opportunity to be more active in their child’s education.

If you do not have your parent portal account setup, please follow the guidelines below to setup your account. We discourage the use of your child’s account as you won’t have access to the necessary information you may need or want.

Please make sure that your e-mail address is kept current at all times on the parent portal. You may update your email address at any time by selecting Contact Preferences on the parent portal menu. If at any time during the school year you lose the ability to access the internet, please notify the appropriate grade level office immediately so that we can make the necessary adjustments to our database.

You can also make lunch account, registration and athletic fee payments in the Infinite Campus Portal. There will be no convenience fees added. If you need help, call our help desk at 715-726-2413 for assistance.
