School Hours and Important Times

Office Hours: 8:15 - 4:15

Instructional Hours: 8:55-4:05

Arrival: Please do not drop off students prior to 8:25 AM. We cannot provide supervision of students prior to 8:25, therefore students may not enter until this time.

Breakfast: 8:25 - 8:55 AM

Students should be in class by 8:50 AM.

Dismissal is at 4:05 PM.

Walkers/Car riders are dismissed first, followed by bus riders.

Bus students are dismissed in the order that buses arrive.

Car line: Students must enter/exit a vehicle at the sidewalk area. Please pull forward as far as possible to keep the car line moving. All students must be picked up by 4:25 PM.

Need to deliver an item to your student during school? Please review our new process.

STUDENT DELIVERIES (gym bags, devices, food, personal belongings, etc.):

· Items should be placed on the table just inside the front door (not at the front office desk).
· Items should be clearly marked with the student’s first and last name (paper will be provided).
· If your student calls/emails/texts you for an item, please remind them to periodically check the item pick up table.
· Students will NOT be called out of class, nor will the class be interrupted to deliver food or items (exceptions for glasses/medication).
· Students are not permitted to wait at the office for a delivery to be made.
· Students can pick up their item(s) between classes or during the lunch period but are still responsible for getting to class on time (no passes will be issued for tardies).
· Students are not allowed to order DoorDash, UberEats, Instacart, or any other food delivery during school hours.

We know there are occasional emergencies, and we will work with those on an individual basis. If a student forgets their lunch, they just need to let an adult know and our administration will assist.

Reminder: Students may not share treats at school

As we approach Halloween, it is good time to remind families of the FCS expectation that students may not bring treats to school to share/distribute with other students. We encourage families to discuss with your child to not accept food, candy, or baked goods from other students. Items brought to school will be confiscated and disarded.

Home Volleyball Games

It's volleyball season! Come cheer on the Hawks at home on the dates below. All students must be accomanpied by the adult who is driving them home. Unaccompanied students will not be admitted into the game. Thank you for helping us to create a safe, fun environment!

Girls play at 5:30 PM, Boys play at 6:30 PM.

Halloween Costumes - yes!

Although our students are growing older and sometimes "too cool" for what used to be fun, one question many of our middle schoolers ask each year is, "Can we dress up for Halloween?". This year Halloween falls on a Tuesday and we will allow students to celebrate during school hours with a few parameters:

Costumes should meet the regular dress code requirements.
Full face paint and/or masks are not permitted.
Props that look like weapons are never allowed.

We will not be doing any schoolwide events to recognize Halloween (such as class parties or parades) but we certainly support students having a little fun with friends! After all, our middle schoolers are growing up way too fast so let's enjoy these last few years of not being "too cool" for Halloween!
