News from Brookwood
Brookwood Elementary had an unforgettable start to the day on Tuesday thanks to a special visit from the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders including our own Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Joppich. The cheerleaders joined our school to celebrate our 2024 National Blue Ribbon Award and spread some Falcon spirit.
The day started with the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders greeting students as they arrived at school, cheering them on with high fives, hugs, and the iconic "Rise Up!" chant. The students were thrilled to see their favorite cheerleaders and felt a boost of excitement for the day ahead.
One of the highlights of the visit was when the cheerleaders joined our principal, Mrs. Karen Lillard, and students on the morning announcements. Together, they led the school in a morning affirmation and a Falcons cheer. The cheerleaders also took time to visit Kindergarten classrooms, including Mrs. Joppich's class, where they shared their enthusiasm and encouraged our young learners.
The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders' visit was a truly inspiring experience for our students and staff. We are grateful for their support and for making our National Blue Ribbon Award celebration even more memorable.
Witzzle Pro Math Club is now open!
Join the fun and challenge of Witzzle Pro! This math club is open to 4th and 5th graders who love numbers and puzzles. We meet every Wednesday morning from 7:45 to 8:20 AM.
Witzzle Pro is a fast-paced game that requires players to use math facts, operations, and problem-solving skills to manipulate digits and form a target number. It's a great way to have fun while learning. Students who join must know their multiplication and division facts with fluency. That means you can recall them quickly.
The club costs $20 and includes an end-of-year celebration and a new Witzzle Club shirt. To join, complete the registration on MyPaymentsPlus before October 28th.
We're excited to start another season of Witzzle Pro! Don't miss out on this opportunity to have fun and learn math.
