Nichols Leadership Academy News #2
A Leader in Me School
Sunday Announcement!
Hello Navigators,
It truly was great to be back this week. Our amazing staff and students welcomed me back with an unforgettable greeting by all he students in the front of the school. I was so grateful and honored to receive such a warm welcome.
Our Back To School Night was a great success. I enjoyed connecting with families and watching our teachers share plans, goals and expectations or the school year. This is sure to be a fantastic school year.
We are looking for parents as educational partners to be part of our school site council. The School Site Council (SSC) is a group of teachers, parents, administrators, as interested community members who work together to develop and monitor a school’s improvement plan. We meet once a month 5 times a year. If you would like to be part of this committee click the link below and add your name. We will be voting on members next week through a ballet that will be linked to this newsletter.
If your child is interested in being a part of our Drama Club's production of Aladdin, please see this link to sign up for an audition.
There is a mandatory parent meeting for Drama Club on Wednesday, September 18th at 6 PM. Bring. your student(s) and any questions you may have.
Our PTO continues to plan events and fundraisers for our students and school community.
Join us at the monthly PTO meeting in the MPR at 6 PM on September 25th.
The PTO will host a apple pie making class on 9/27. See this flyer for more details.
If you have not done so yet, please join the PTO. It really helps support our student events, field trips and 5th grade Camp.
The winners for the PTO Skip the Line Contest are:
1. Stacey Sanders (October-February 14th)2. Angela Barnes (February 15-June)
I can't wait to see everyone this week. Have a great night.
