Eastview Performs in Top 10 Percent of Schools, Earns Exemplary Status on Illinois School Report Card
On October 30th, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) published its 2024 Illinois Report Cards, which provide detailed information for each school’s progress in several categories, including academics, finances, student successes, and school climate. Each year, the Illinois State Board of Education prepares a report card and assigns a summative designation for each school in the state to measure how districts are performing in relation to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Parents and community members can view Illinois Report Card data for District 300 and each of our schools by visiting www.illinoisreportcard.com.
One component of the School Report Card is the annual summative designation, which is assigned to each school based on how effectively it meets the needs of its students. For the Illinois Report Card, ISBE has established four annual summative designations: “exemplary,” “commendable,” “targeted support,” and “comprehensive support.” An Exemplary designation indicates a school is performing in the top 10 percent of schools in the state. Eastview has once again received ISBE’s exemplary designation. Eastview is one of two schools in D300 that has received this desgination this year. For more than 5 years, Eastview has maintained Exemplary status. We are so proud of our students and our staff for all their hard work!

EVERYDAY REMINDERS
How to Notify the Office When Your Student will be Absent
In the event your child will be absent, please email attendance.eastview@D300.org or call 847.532.7420 to report the absence. To ensure timely notification of your student's absence, it is important that you use this email address and/or phone number as the primary way to report absences. This will help eliminate any missed information in the event a teacher or staff member is out of the building. If your student will be absent for more than two days, please complete a Pre-Arranged Absence Form, and drop it off or email it to the office. Students that are missing school for a doctor or dentist appointment, or for therapy, should provide a note from the doctor/therapist when they return to school.
