NBMS Magnet Lottery Information

For students in grades 6-8 at New Bridge Middle School (NBM), there is a focus on STEM content and skills. STEM emphasizes science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

Entry into the New Bridge Middle, Clyde Erwin Elementary, Northwoods Elementary, and Onslow County Virtual School magnet school lotteries are available to enrollment-eligible children of all Onslow County residents or in accordance with the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children.

The Onslow County Schools Magnet School Lottery Application will be available beginning February 26, 2024, until March 15, 2024. Lottery selections will take place on March 18, 2024.

Applicants will be notified of their status via email as well as through their dashboard.

• February 26, 2024 - Application portal opens
• March 15, 2024 - Application portal closes
• March 18, 2023 - Lottery selection
• March: TBA - Entrants notified of results via email
• March: TBA - Offer response due

• Clyde Erwin Elementary – Tuesday, March 5 – 4:30-6:30 p.m.
• Northwoods Elementary – Tuesday, February 27 – 5-7 p.m.
• New Bridge Middle – Wednesday, February 28 – 5-7 p.m.
• OVS – Live virtual sessions – February 28 and 29 – 5-7 p.m.
