May 5-9 is Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so thankful from each and everyone of our amazing Carpenter teachers. They truly are the best of the best! Let's shower them with love this week and next week for Track 2! We are officially celebrating our Teachers from May 7th to May 14th so we can celebrate all teachers on all four tracks. Thank you so much to all of the performers who participated in our Fine Arts Spirit Night! The names of the performers are listed in the flyer below in the PTA section. We certainly have some talented students at our school. Thank you also to all of the families who came out to support all of our students. We had a packed house!

Reminder that we have field day coming up on May 9th for Tracks 2 and 4. Thank you to all of the parents who have already signed up to volunteer. Information will be sent to those who volunteered shortly before field day. You are still welcome to volunteer by using the link below in the PTA section.

Wake County Public Schools is administering a District Wide Family Survey from Monday, April 7 through Friday, May 16. This survey provides families the opportunity to provide valuable information and a high-quality data source for planning and School Improvement.

The survey has been translated into various languages- Spanish, Arabic, French, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese in an effort to provide accessibility to families in Wake County Public Schools. The survey administration language can be chosen by families before taking the survey.

The end of year is quickly approaching and that means that EOGs are right around the corner for our 3rd through 5th graders. To ensure that our students have the best testing environment possible, we need parent support. We are in need of parents/community members to serve as proctors for our testing environments. Proctors serve as additional monitors to help test administrators assure that correct testing policies and procedures are followed, which ensures a fair and equitable testing experience for all students. WCPSS' annual Letterland Days at Pullen Park is an exciting, interactive event where young learners experience the world of Letterland—an engaging phonics program that turns letters into characters with stories, songs, and hands-on activities.

Join us on May 5 and May 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pullen Park to meet Letterland characters, and to participate in hands-on arts and crafts and literacy activities! Admission into the park is free and ride tickets are $2.

This is one of the most fun nights of the year as the students celebrate the end of school together and cheer for their teachers as they eat ice cream as fast as they can! Tell your child's teacher that you would love to see them in the contest this year! 😋

Our Family Movie Night is coming up on May 30th! Bring the whole family and watch Wild Robot! This is a free event and will be lots of fun! We hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our talented Carpenter students. This was a very successful evening, and we will definitely do it again next year- bigger and better!

As part of our Charitable Chameleons Sign-up/Buy-in fundraising effort our families have enjoyed Painting Parent/Student Portraits with Mr. Hann, Cheer Club, Spirit Squad, Knight for a Princess special dance for daughters , and Sons +1 Game Night - thank you to the generous sponsorship from our school staff, PTA, and families for bringing these exciting opportunities to our students.
